Ingredients
  

For the Burger

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended for crispy edges and juicy center
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • 4 pieces burger buns Toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Can substitute with American or Colby Jack

For the Bowl

  • 1 cup lettuce Shredded, any crisp variety (e.g., romaine, iceberg)
  • 1 medium tomato Diced
  • 1/2 medium onion Diced
  • Pickles For topping
  • Ketchup and mustard For serving

Instructions
 

Cooking the Patties

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes.
  • Form the ground beef into 4–5 loose balls and smash them onto the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for about 3–4 minutes on one side until browned and crispy, then flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt over low heat for about a minute.

Assembling the Bowl

  • In a bowl, layer the shredded lettuce, followed by diced tomato and onion.
  • Add the cooked burgers on top and then add plenty of pickles.
  • Cut the toasted burger buns into quarters and serve them on the side with ketchup and mustard.

Notes

For meal prep, keep components separate to avoid sogginess. The cooked beef can last 3–4 days in the fridge, and toasted bun pieces can be stored at room temperature.
