  • 4 pieces salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • a pinch salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt until combined.
  • Spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet.

Cooking

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Serve immediately, pairing with rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Can be prepped the night before and stored in the fridge. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating in the microwave. Experiment with different herbs for variations.
