  • 1 bag Doritos (Nacho Cheese is a classic!) Classic Nacho Cheese flavor is recommended.
  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or a blend) Using a blend of cheeses enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup Flour (all-purpose is best) For dredging the Doritos.
  • 2 large Eggs (beaten) To help with coating.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (panko works great) Panko breadcrumbs provide extra crunch.
  • 2 cups Oil for frying (vegetable or canola) Oil should be preheated to 350°F.

Preparation

  • Preheat your frying oil in a deep pan to around 350°F.
  • Stuff each Dorito with cheese generously.
  • Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each stuffed Dorito in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Carefully place each coated Dorito into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels to soak up excess oil.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

These can be prepped ahead and frozen for later. Serve with dips like ranch or salsa for added flavor. Kids can help with stuffing and customizing flavors!
