Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated Can use Colby-Jack or pepper jack as alternatives.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated For a chewier texture.

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickles, chopped Can use spicy dills or whole pickles, chopped small.
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs Panko gives extra crunch.
  • 1 egg, beaten For coating.

Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Feel free to add more spices.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Be cautious with salt since the pickles are salty.
  • Oil for frying Can also air fry or bake.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and chopped dill pickles.
  • Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
  • Form the mixture into small balls or bites.

Coating

  • Dip each bite in the beaten egg and then roll in bread crumbs to coat.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the bites until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare these ahead of time by breading them and chilling for up to 24 hours before frying. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
