Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or fusilli) Any pasta can be used.
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen shrimp works well.
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with a blend of Greek yogurt and milk.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Don’t skip on the cheese!
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn PINK—about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, and stir to combine. Add the cooked pasta and mix well.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can prepare everything in advance and store it in the fridge until you're ready to bake. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days and can be reheated or frozen.
