  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts You can substitute with thighs or plant-based proteins.
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides a punchy flavor.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Adds richness to the dish.
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 2 cups Rice or pasta For serving.

  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet.
  • Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 6-7 minutes per side.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the pan, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and let the mixture thicken for about 5 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coat it with the sauce, and simmer briefly to warm everything through.
  • Serve over cooked rice or pasta.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead by preparing the sauce in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat.
