  • 8 pieces flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Oil for frying cooking oil for frying

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef or turkey with taco seasoning as per the package instructions for about 5 minutes.
  • Lay out flour tortillas and evenly distribute the cooked meat, cheese, tomatoes, olives, and green onions.
  • Roll the tortillas tightly to form sticks.
  • In a frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium heat and fry the rolled tortillas until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove them from the oil and let them drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

These Cheesy Taco Sticks can be prepared ahead of time and frozen before frying. To reheat, fry from frozen or bake in the oven.
