  • 1 packet taco seasoning Homemade seasoning can also be used.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix with other types of cheese.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese A mix of cheeses can work well, such as pepper jack.
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough Puff pastry or homemade dough can be used alternatively.
  • 1 cup salsa Adds flavor when serving.
  • to taste cooking spray For greasing the baking sheet.

Optional Toppings

  • to taste sour cream Classic dip for serving.
  • to taste lettuce Can be used as a fresh topping.
  • to taste diced tomatoes Provides a fresh element.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
  • On the wider side of each triangle, place a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end and place on a greased baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with salsa and optional toppings like sour cream, lettuce, and diced tomatoes.

Notes

These can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for the best results. Let kids create their own fillings for added fun!
